As we have been talking about since this summer, the Harris Teeter ZVR digital coupon program is shutting down. Here are the confirmed details from corporate with the shut down dates and transition information for the new digital coupon program.

If you are signed up for the e-Vic program, you should also receive an e-mail from Harris Teeter with the following information on October 2.

"Recently, Google informed us that it was shutting down its Zavers service which allowed retailers like Harris Teeter to issue electronic coupons. Harris Teeter is transitioning to another service provider, and during that time, our e-coupons program will be temporarily unavailable.

e-VIC coupons Program Transition Timeline

· Nov. 20, 2014: Last day customers can clip e-coupons, available until 11:59pm

· Nov. 30, 2014: Last day customers can use saved e-coupons, available until 11:59pm

· Dec. 1, 2014 – Jan. 13, 2015: e-coupons will be unavailable

· Jan. 14, 2015: e-coupons re-launch

When we re-launch, getting started again will be as quick & easy as it was before. Unfortunately, however, customers will only be able to view and clip up to 20 coupons at a time. This is a temporary limit until January 2016 when the program will be running at full capacity."

At this time, I am still waiting to hear back from corporate about "stacking" paper coupons with the new digital coupons.  Do not get your hopes up. I will be shocked if the new system allows stacking.  As soon as I have confirmation, I will let you know.

The new digital coupon portal that Harris Teeter will be using is run by You Technology Brand Services. Kroger bought You tech in February 2014.
