CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Giant projections of some of the most famous works by artist Vincent Van Gogh are on display in Charlotte.
The “Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit” opened last week and runs through Sept. 12 at Camp North End's Historic Ford Building. This is the first time the exhibit has appeared in the southeast and the only stop in the Carolinas.

The multimedia exhibit includes 500,000 cubic feet of projections and more than 60,000 frames of video, taking guests inside a curated selection of Van Gogh's works including Sunflowers and Starry Night.

Tickets are on sale online and by phone at 704-372-1000. Admission is reserved by day and time.

The traveling exhibit is related to an earlier "Immersive Van Gogh" exhibit that debuted in Paris and hosted more than 2 millions visitors. This traveling show, presented by Lighthouse Immersive, has sold out runs in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto.

The exhibit is adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols with contactless ticketing and hand sanitizer stations. There will be illuminated circles for guests to stand inside to encourage social distancing. The event will operate at a limited capacity in accordance with Mecklenburg County’s safety protocols, and guests will be required to wear face coverings at all times.
