IHOP is now offering beer and wine at some of its locations in an effort to expand their horizons and make customers consider them for more than just breakfast.
It's still not clear exactly which locations will be serving up booze in the near future. Many restaurants are owned by franchisees, who ultimately decide whether they want to offer it.
Obtaining a liquor license and training staff are a hefty expense for many locations. IHOP's president believes around 1,000 locations will eventually serve alcohol.
