Ibotta releases ranking of states that saved most money

Ibotta has released a ranking of states that saved the most money using their cash-back app and North Carolina is in the top 10. Read on to see how much users in each state saved over the last 5 years.

Ibotta has released a ranking of states that saved the most money using their cash-back app and North Carolina is in the top 10.
The company tracked data for the past 5 years from 2016-2020 including which states have saved the most money using the app and which states have the most consumer savvy-shoppers. They also indicated that based on their data, most states, on average, have about 15% of their adult population using the Ibotta app.

Following are the rankings of the states that have earned the most cash back in the past 5 years including the cash-back amount residents earned from each state.

1 - Florida - $72,666,574

2 - Texas - $70,823,896

3 - California - $58,568,887

4 - Ohio - $43,095785

5 - Pennsylvania - $39,537,895

6 - North Carolina -$35,268,274

7 - Georgia - $34,659,409

8 - Illinois - $33,749,148

9 - New York - $33,091,948

10 - Michigan - $30,619,987

11 - Virginia - $30,288,391

12 - Tennessee $23,334,857

13 - Wisconsin $20,548,185

14 - Missouri $20,234,190

15 - New Jersey $18,833,760

16 - Indiana $18,506,277

17 - Arizona $17,722,400

18 - South Carolina $17,009,703

19 - Colorado $15,853,566

20 - Washington $15,079,897

As you can see, North Carolina came in at number 6 with savings of $35,268,274.

In addition, Ibotta tracked the states where each user, on average, has saved the most money. For this metric, North Carolina came in at number 17.
