WAKE FOREST, N.C. — The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre is hosting an in-person concert on Friday night, bringing joy to staff and attendees looking for normalcy during the pandemic.

There's lots of ways the venue is working to keep people safe, doing everything as contactless as possible like scanning tickets on phones and using different entrances to keep people spread apart. Face masks are required and hand sanitizer stations will be posted.

Yolanda Rabun's show 'All That...& Jazz' is sold out and starts at 7:30. This is the first indoor concert in our area in some time, a positive sign of progress after the year-long battle against COVID-19.

Renaissance Centre staff are thrilled to finally have people back inside for performances. It's another sign of a rebound for the local economy.

"I love the arts so much and what it's done for my life," said Renaissance Centre manager Debbie Dunn. "How brings our community together, I just think it’s gonna be amazing. I might just walk around with a tissue because I’m already tearing up right now thinking of it.”
