I-440 reopens after police activity near New Bern Avenue in Raleigh
A police operation closed all westbound lanes on Interstate 440 near New Bern Avenue on Sunday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A police operation closed all westbound lanes on Interstate 440 near New Bern Avenue on Sunday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Before 8:30 a.m., the road was closed between Exit 13 for New Bern Avenue and Exit 11 for U.S. Highway 401. The road reopened by 9:30 a.m.
Troopers told WRAL News the closure was the result of a police investigation but did not provide details.
