I-40 East wreck causes lane closures in Cary

The wreck was caused when the vehicle Anissa Belalia, 21, of Raleigh, was driving hydroplaned and was hit by another car and pushed into the guardrail.

CARY, N.C. — A wreck on Interstate 40 East at Harrison Avenue in Cary caused lane closures Sunday afternoon.

The wreck was caused when a vehicle driven by Anissa Belalia, 21, of Raleigh, hydroplaned and was hit by another car, pushed it into the guardrail.

No one was injured. Belalia was charged with exceeding a safe speed.
