I-40 East reopened near Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh after crash

RALEIGH, N.C. — Interstate 40 East was closed near Rock Quarry Road Tuesday night due to a crash, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The interstate reopened at 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Raleigh police said two vehicles were involved in the crash. Authorities took both drivers to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
