Good afternoon. I'm meteorologist, Amy Wilmeth in the WRL severe weather center, the cold front that moved through yesterday that brought the rain, the wind, the severe storms and the damage that has moved away from us and a colder air mass is settling in. It's certainly a chilly day out there today. Many of you staying in the forties this afternoon, 48 for the high end Raleigh. It's also breezy at times making it feel even cooler. 47 for the high end Durham today and 50 for the high temperature in Fayetteville. Get ready for a cold night tonight. You'll want the winter gear stepping outside tomorrow morning. We're down into the twenties in most locations. 27 for the low in Durham, 28 in Raleigh, 27 in Rocky Mount and 27 in Lewisburg overnight. Tonight, down to the south, we'll get down to 29 in Irwin and Smithfield 29. The low temperature in Fayetteville down to 30 in Clinton. So again, it's going to be a cold start to the day, heading into Tuesday morning and this chilly air mass is here to stay for the next several days. We'll have some cold mornings. You can see the shades of blue remaining over North Carolina through the weekend. So cold mornings and cool afternoons in the forecast. A look at our morning lows over the next five days. The normal is 35. We're certainly below that tonight. We'll get down to 28 tonight, 32 Wednesday morning, down to 29 Thursday morning, 25 Friday morning and 32 Saturday morning. So our mornings are staying cold for a while and our are staying on the cool side with temperatures remaining below normal in the afternoons as well. 48 for the high today, the normal 56 low to mid 50 S Tuesday and Wednesday back to upper forties, Thursday and then low Fs on Friday. So a cooler weather pattern has moved in for the next several days. It's also very quiet weather for the next several days. We have mostly sunny skies through Saturday. A few more clouds around by Sunday, but only a 20% chance for rain.

Yeah, sorry. Wow, there you go. Thank you so much. My name is Andy Coren rabbi from Greensboro, North Carolina and one of the co chairs of the North Carolina Jewish Clergy Association, Governor Cooper. Again, to you and to everyone here, a sincere thank you from all of us, from all of the North Carolina Jewish Clergy Association, rabbis, cantors, our families who call this great state home. We are so grateful for your hospitality leadership to all that. My colleague and co chair of the North Carolina Jewish Clergy Association. Rabbi Judy Schindler said earlier, I say, amen, let's all say together, amen. You know, as clergy leaders, we are often asked, what is our purpose in life? What are we here for? And as the Governor, you may get that question from time to time. Why are we here? So let me give you a Hanukkah answer to that one. Each person is a lamplighter on the streets of the world now, for some of the kids who are here today, when I say the word lamplighter, you may not know what I'm talking about, but there was a time not long ago when here in North Carolina all around the world. There were no electric lights and we have electric lights on our streets now. And there was a person whose job it was, am I right? There was a person whose job it was to turn on to go around to light the gas lamps with a light carried on the end of a long pole. And this was true in every town from the mountains to the ocean, from the south to the north of this state, all points in between on our street corners, lamps set ready to be lit lit each night. And the lamplighter had that pole with the flame on it. And the following job, make sure that all the lamps had their lights. That's our mission. That's what we're here for. That's our calling now more than ever to be lamplighters, no matter where the lights are to be found far away across the water high up on a hill, light those lamps. You know, there's sometimes people say I don't see any lamps around, you know why? Because they're not lamplighters yet, but we who stand here today and all who hear this message, we know that we can make a difference. Our answer on Hanukkah is to start at home in our homes, to start with ourselves and our families and to practice, that's what we do on Hanukkah, seeing that spark inside ourselves and inside our homes makes it easier to see the spark in others to see that. Others also have lamps ready to be illuminated and they're ready to go out and light the lamps. Also, we know this Hanukkah candles aren't only for rabbis. They're not only for cantors or song leaders, they're not only for the adults in the room, everyone hold old enough to hold a candle. And we saw that tonight lights the candles on Hanukkah. And that's what we saw today because it's everyone's job to be a lamp lighter and to bring more light to our world. Wherever light is needed in our state and in our world, our job is to be what everybody lamplighters. I'm a rabbi, but I'm also a lamplighter. You know who else is a lamplighter in here. You are and you are and you are. And I'm pointing to everyone. We are all say it with me. Lamplighters. Each of us should do our best to bring light to the world. And how can we do this by reaching out by connecting with others and doing our part to make our world a better place. Governor. It starts at the top. Thank you for being a leader. Thank you for being saying it with me. Everybody, a lamp. May each of us be the lamplighters. We are called to be. Let's all say it together. Amen and hog some happy Hanukkah. Thank you.
