RALEIGH, N.C. — Hundreds attended a vigil on Friday to remember a Knightdale High School student who was shot to death last Sunday.

Mourners gathered at Skycrest Drive and Southall Road in Raleigh where Nigel Jarrell Ellison, 18, was shot.

Ellison was laid to rest Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery, according to his obituary.

His friend, Kalife I. Johnson, 19, was also seriously injured in the shooting, but has been released from the hospital.

Rajal Amed Wisdom Sr., 45, his son Rajal Amed Wisdom Jr., 22, and daughter Mariah Wisdom, 17, all of 101 Elmridge Drive in Knightdale, have been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

The father and son are being held in Georgia jail, where they were arrested Thursday. Mariah Wisdom was being held in the Wake County jail without bond.

Investigators said the suspects knew the victims. Sources close to the victims have said that Johnson was in a romantic relationship with Mariah Wisdom.

Rajal Wisdom Sr. was convicted of manslaughter in Durham County in 1995 and sentenced to probation, according to state Department of Correction records.
