Human remains found in Nash County

— Human remains were found Wednesday afternoon near a state hunting area in Nash County, authorities said.

The remains were discovered near the entrance of Sandy Creek Gameland, at 11872 Sumler Road in Castalia.

A medical examiner will try to determine the person's identity and cause of death.
