HOPE MILLS, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff's deputies arrested a Hope Mills man after they said he exposed himself to students on a school bus Friday morning.

Witnesses said Joseph Clayton Southerland, 50, of 121 Bledsoe St., drove beside the bus and masturbated. Students said it was not the first time they had seen Southerland doing that.

Southerland was being held Friday afternoon under a $60,000 secured bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
