DURHAM, N.C. — A fire badly destroyed a home under construction in Durham late Sunday night.

After 10 p.m., firefighters responded to the home in the 300 block of West Enterprise Street. Flames were coming from the roof in the back of the house, which was the only one under construction in the neighborhood.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in 15 minutes, but the entire home was damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was hurt.

Durham firefighters responded to another fire 30 minutes later just one mile away on Arnette Avenue. The fire was minor and brought under control easily.

The fires are not thought to be connected.
