HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Two Holly Springs High School students are accused of stealing packages off the porches of homes in their neighborhoods.

Martin McIntyre Woodward, 18, of 4600 Olde Mills Bluff, and Dylan Alexander Wade, 16, of 1624 Avent Ferry Road, were both charged Wednesday with misdemeanor larceny. Woodward also was charged with attempted breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.

According to an application for a warrant to search Wade's home, packages were stolen from several homes in the Holly Glen neighborhood April 27-29. Law enforcement often refers to suspects in such thefts as "porch pirates."

In addition to the packages, two bicycles were stolen from outside a garage, and someone tried to break into a vehicle, the warrant application states.
