Center Ice is back at Marbles as part of the new version of last year's very popular exhibit Power2Play. This time, the exhibit focuses on how people stay active and fit around the world.

Marbles repurposed some of the activities from the old Power2Play in the new version. Gone are Peas and Carrots (the area where kids slide down into a pit of green balls). The climbing wall, which once had a photo of what's underneath a garden, now has a photo of the Himalayas on it. And the bikes where kids could pedal to move objects above them are now Tour de France bikes.

And there are new things too, including a small futbol (soccer) field and surfboards on springs. Kids also gathered around a little dance floor when I was there to groove to songs from around the world.

Power2Play will run for the next 18 months. With the opening of Moneypalooza last month, Marbles' exhibit space is full with their own exhibits for the first time. Pam Hartley, Marbles' vp of exhibits, says staff now will have a chance to refurbish some of the existing exhibits. So look for smaller changes in the months to come.
