Raleigh, N.C. — A wrong-way driver caused a three-vehicle accident that briefly shut down the Inner Beltline during the early hours of Saturday, police said.
A man drove on an off-ramp to get onto the Inner Beltline and then went the wrong way on the highway. He caused a three-vehicle wreck near the Glenwood Avenue exit, police said.
The wrong-way driver got out of his car and ran from the scene of the accident, officers said. Police have not found him.
Other motorists sustained minor injuries during the accident. One person was taken to a hospital for evaluation but has since been released.
