Hillsborough man dies in crash

Hillsborough, N.C. — A Hillsborough man died in a car crash early Tuesday.
Scotty Nipper hit a tree along N.C. Highway 86 around 2:30 a.m., according to Highway Patrol. His car then caught fire.
Deputies did not release any other details.
