Hillsborough landmark garden center destroyed after fiery crash
A roadside gas station and garden center was destroyed overnight when a car crashed into a gas pump, starting a large fire.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A roadside gas station and garden center was destroyed overnight when a car crashed into a gas pump, starting a large fire.
The crash occurred Wednesday around 2:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of N.C. Highway 86.
The owner of the gas station said the car lost control and slammed into the station. The driver, Kourian Desan Junius Faucette, of Burlington, and a passenger were both taken to Duke University Hospital.
