A man was not injured in a Tuesday morning crash after troopers say he fell asleep while driving.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was not injured in a Tuesday morning crash after troopers say he fell asleep while driving.

According to officials with the N.C. State Highway Patrol, the 18-year-old driver fell asleep while driving on Poole Road near Riverview Road around 1 a.m.

His Toyota Camry crashed into a bridge over the Neuse River.

Police say the man, who was not injured in the crash, will face charges.
