Here's what you need to know about the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup

CNN — The "Fortnite" World Cup may be over, but if you haven't gotten your fill of competitive e-sports, don't worry. The 15th FIFA eWorld Cup takes place Friday to Sunday.

Here's what you need to know about the tournament.

What it is

The tournament is the virtual soccer equivalent to World Cup. Thirty-two competitive gamers who qualified to play via the EA Sports "FIFA 19" Global Series, which features the super popular soccer video game, will go head-to-head for the top prize.

Where to watch

FIFA.com, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Twitch will all broadcast the competition live from London.

For the first time, the cup will be broadcast in six languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Portuguese and Spanish.

The prize

The prize isn't as big as the "Fortnite" World Cup's first-place jackpot of $3 million, but it'll do. The winner will receive $250,000.

Keep your eyes on them

FIFA has singled out four players that viewers should watch out for.

Nissad "Msdossary" Aldossary of Saudi Arabia is the reigning eWorld Cup Champion and two-time FUT Champions winner. He's back in an attempt to defend his title.

Nicolas "Nicolas99fc" Villalba of Argentina holds the No. 1 ranking after he was crowned the FIFA 19 Global Series PlayStation Playoffs champion.

Donnovan "Tekkz" Hunt of England has claimed seven titles in competitive FIFA this season, including three FUT Champions Cup titles.

Corentin "Maestro" Thuillier of France is the second-ranked player going into the eWorld Cup. He redeemed himself after a disappointing showing in February to win April's FIFA eNations Cup with his brother.

How it works

The first part of the tournament is the group stage. Each group will consist of eight players.

The best four players from each group will advance to the Round of 16, where the best-placed player from one group will meet the lowest-placed player in another. The second-placed player from one group will face the third-place finisher from another, and so on.

The winners of each Round of 16 matchup will move onto the quarterfinals.

The top four players will advance to the semifinals.

The final competition will have two legs, with one match each on the PlayStation and Xbox.
