A farm in North Carolina with 75 cows on it had "too many cows to maintain," according to Stokes County Animal Control.

Animal control contacted a local veterinarian to ask about the safety of having that many cows on one property.

Based on the vet's recommendation, 25 cows were seized to be under the care of the vet.

All seized cows were moved to an undisclosed location and they are under the care of a local veterinarian.

“Hopefully thinning his herd will help all of the cows and make for a lot better situation for the land owner and the cows," said Scottie Kiser, director of animal control.

At this time, no charges have been filed.
