Henderson police: Parents of child who arrived at school alone have been located

The parents of a child who showed up to school alone on Wednesday morning have been located, according to the Henderson Police Department.

HENDERSON, N.C. — The parents of a child who showed up to school alone on Wednesday morning have been located, according to the Henderson Police Department.

According to a social media post by the department, the child appeared at Pinkston Elementary School located at 855 Adams St. unaccompanied on Wednesday morning.

At 9:45 a.m., police told WRAL News that the family had been located.

The child's name was not released. It was not clear if the child attends the school. This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
