TODAY WE ARE THROWING A VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY THE CLOSURES .  TODAY WE ARE TALKING TO THE MANAGER OF SOUTHDALE CAFI IN RALEIGH. SHE JOINS US BY FACE TIME. IN ALL OF OUR LOCATIONS WE HAVE OVER 120 EMPLOYEES. WE ARE DOWN TO ABOUT MY DAILY IT'S ABOUT 15% OF OUR REGULAR STAFFING. THE MANAGERS ARE DOING MOST OF THE POSITIONAL WORK. AND THEN WE ARE SUPPLEMENTING WITH SOME OF OUR HOURLY EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE A FAMILIES TO SUPPORT. IT HAS REALLY BEEN EXTREMELY HARD. >> I WOULD IMAGINE. YOU HAVE HAD TO CUT HOURS AND EMPLOYEES. MOST COMMONLY PEOPLE COME THROUGH THE COUNTER AND GET THE DELICIOUS FOOD AND GET IT TO GO. WE ARE ENCOURAGING THEM TO STOCK UP ON ALL OF OIL, RICE, BEANS, DIFFERENT CANNED ITEMS THAT WE HAVE. IT'S FUNNY, BECAUSE TRADER JOE'S IS IN OUR SHOPPING CENTER AND THE LINE IS ALL THE WAY OVER TO THE SOLE. WHICH IS ABOUT 500 FEET FROM THEIR DOOR. WE ARE REALLY TRYING TO EXTEND OUR GROCERY OFFERING JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT CUSTOMERS HAVE ANOTHER AVENUE TO BUY GOODS FOR THEIR HOME. AND ALSO, THINGS STRAIGHT FROM OUR KITCHEN. A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE ASKED FOR DRESSING AND MARINADE THAT WE DON'T USUALLY SELL. DURING THIS TIME, HONESTLY, WE ARE HAPPY TO PACKAGE THAT STEP UP AND GIVE IT TO THEM SO THEY CAN PREPARE WHAT THEY NEED TO. Hello everyone. I'm meteorologist Peter Sherwood. In the severe weather center, we are going to see temperatures in the lower eighties for today with high pressure building in, it will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny this afternoon with that sunshine really building in as we head throughout the day. So we still have the influence of this area of low pressure that is moving off the coast of the US. It did bring historic flooding to New York last week and we expect it to continue to pull away from it. It is going to take the clouds with it as well. High pressure over the Ohio River Valley will dip to the south and allow us to see sunshine. So our temperatures for today will be in the eighties a little bit above normal for this time of the year. 78. Is that high will be at 80 degrees today, warmer tomorrow with more sunshine. 82 that sunshine really helping us to achieve that high of 82 degrees. And then as we head into Tuesday, 81 we are tracking with this high pressure system highs in the eighties all week long, but it is going to move out and temperatures are going to drop with a cold front moving in on Saturday. Look at that cooler air building in by Sunday, we could potentially see highs in the seventies and really in the sixties giving us another shot of fall like temperatures to get ready for it, cooler air could be building in and temperatures could be below normal for this time of the year. As we head into October 8th through the 14th, typically for the month of October, we start the month with temperatures on average in the upper seventies by the afternoon and on average morning temperatures by Halloween typically down into the forties and we typically see afternoon highs in the upper sixties. So this is something to watch here. This is going to be one of those months where you're going to notice a change in the air. We are seeing mostly sunny conditions this morning in some spots, some spots, waking up to patchy fog, some spots we're seeing partly cloudy conditions. I think overall a decent amount of sunshine will build in for this afternoon and it's going to be a great day to get outside. We expect temperatures in the sixties. Some areas of patchy fog, it's not widespread. And then as we head into the afternoon, 80 degrees will be the afternoon high with sunshine likely to see those temperatures down into the seventies and sixties for this evening, 81 for the high in Fayetteville, 80 degrees in Durham, 80 degrees in Southern Pines and 79 for Clinton this afternoon. So we are going to see our temperatures in the eighties all week long rain. Chances are low come Saturday, that's when we have a cold front moving through. There's a small chance of passing showers but temperatures are going to drop behind it.
