Heffernan readies to 'Dance like a Star'
WRAL reporter and weekend anchor Sloane Heffernan will compete in the annual "Dancing Like the Stars" competition held during the Southern Women's Show in Raleigh.

Heffernan's competition includes NBC-17's Sharon Delaney, WTVD's Amber Rupinta, 100.7 The River's Kitty Kinnin, USA Baseball Director of Public Relations Jake Fehling and Jonathan Bunzey, a 17-year-old special needs student who is dealing with speech loss.
All proceeds from the contest benefit the National Inclusion Project, formerly known as the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, which was co-founded in 2003 by American Idol alum and Raleigh native Clay Aiken. The nonprofit promotes the inclusion of children with disabilities in activities with children who are not disabled.
