Head-on crash on Wake Forest Highway sends two people to hospital
A driver was driving on Wake Forest Highway near Boyce Mill Road when they crashed head-on into an SUV Monday morning, officials said.

DURHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A driver was driving on Wake Forest Highway near Boyce Mill Road when they crashed head-on into an SUV Monday morning, officials said.
The crash happened at around 5 a.m. in Durham County.
Another driver approaching the wreck was trying to avoid the crash and ran off the side of the road and into the trees.
Two drivers were transported to the hospital after the crash, officials said.
Wake Forest Highway, or N.C. Highway 98, was closed in both directions as a result of the crash. Officials said the road was closed until around 7 a.m. while crews investigate and clear the scene.
