CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A hazmat crew was called to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after chlorine was spilled inside one of the medical labs on Wednesday evening, university officials said.

The seventh floor of Medical Bio-molecular Research Building on Mason Farm Road was evacuated as a precaution.

An on-campus hazmat team said the spill was minor. The scene was cleared in about 15 minutes.
