Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's ranked among best grocery chains

Consumer Reports has released their list of top grocery chains and Harris Teeter, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Costco are in the top 10! What are your thoughts about the rankings? What are your top grocery stores here in the Triangle?

Consumer Reports has released their list of top grocery chains and Harris Teeter, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Costco are in the top 10! The number one store on the list is Wegmans, which is not located here in North Carolina.

Here are their rankings for the stores in our area that made the top ten:

#2 Trader Joe's

#5 Harris Teeter

#7 Costco

#8 Whole Foods

According to a Triangle Business Journal article  HERE there are some other area stores who also made the list including:

Piggly Wiggly at 13

Aldi at 14

Super Target at 20

Kroger at 37

Sam’s Club at 38

BJ’s Wholesale Club at 42

Walmart and Food Lion came in towards the bottom of the list.
