Harnett County deputies were at the scene of a homicide Friday morning.

<b>ERWIN, N.C.</b> — Harnett County deputies have charged a man in connection with a Friday morning homicide.

Roy Earl Rogers, 50, is charged with first-degree murder.

The sheriff's office received a call on Friday asking that deputies check on someone at 1027 Josey Williams Road in Erwin. Deputies found Vincent Ray Stephens, 56, dead inside the home.

Stephens' body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Rogers was being held with no bond at the Harnett County jail.
