A Harnett County couple is accused of providing alcohol to multiple teens at their home, and the husband is also accused of sexually abusing at least one of them, authorities said Thursday.
several teenage boys have reported being abused by a Harnett County man and those teens have been priest for having the courage to come forward with their stories. WRS Amanda Lamb joins us live from the Harnett County courthouse. Amanda David Investigators searched the home in Harnett County on July 25. This is the search warrant that we got here at the courthouse today and it details some very disturbing things. First of all, the victims talk about a case, a trend where they've been given alcohol, where they've been sexually abused and where they have been videotaped in the shower. Parents tell us teenage boys as young as 14 were always hanging out at this Harnett County home owned by John and Bonnie Taylor. No one answered at the door today. They were drinking under the influence on several occasions. We spoke with one parent who did not want to be identified. She tells us Bonnie Taylor, the mother of two boys, has coached local sports teams for a decade. Yes, I mean there's a trust there completely broken. I think there need to be haider walls on the volunteer Bonnie. Taylor faces one charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, which involves giving teens alcohol. John taylor faces nine charges in two counties, including three counts of taking indecent liberties with Children. Some of the incidents allegedly took place at a vacation home in Atlantic Beach. A search warrant accuses john Taylor of putting a camera beneath the bathroom door and taping boys taking showers. The victims told their parents who contacted police. I'm very proud of those witnesses that were able to come forward and the most important thing is to know that they're not alone and to believe them. Investigators hope if there are other victims, they will come forward if there are other victims out there to please come forward and allow the investigators to do their job. Now, investigators took 16 items out of the home. This includes laptops, cameras, storage devices for photos and video and also phones as well. We do know they will be in court. He will be in court tomorrow in Carteret County, and both of them will be in court here in Harnett County later this month. Back to you Amanda Lamb live in Harnett County, Amanda Think.
