FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A Harnett County man found dead inside his girlfriend’s home in November was stabbed to death, according to an autopsy report released Thursday.

Steven Neva Cain, 33, suffered a fatal stab wound to the left thigh, which cut his femoral artery and vein, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill. He was also stabbed in the left side of his chest.

He also had a blood-alcohol concentration of .17, according to a toxicology report.
