Harnett County bus involved in wreck
A Harnett County school bus was involved in a wreck on Old U.S. Highway 421 in Lillington on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedLILLINGTON, N.C. — A Harnett County school bus was involved in a wreck on Old U.S. Highway 421 in Lillington on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
A car rear-ended the No. 179 bus from Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School just before 3:30 p.m. near Bain Street, Harnett County Schools spokeswoman Patricia Lewis said.
Two students complained of minor neck injuries and were transported to Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital, Lewis said.
The other students on board were moved to a new bus.
