RALEIGH, N.C. — After a spell of cool, wet wintry weather, it will feel a bit more like late summer or early fall for trick-or-treating this week.

The high on Wednesday, or Halloween, will be a pleasant 72 degrees.

There is currently no threat of rain for trick-or-treaters, making the weather optimal for an evening outdoors.

Before Halloween, temperatures will be cooler, but still mild, with highs in the mid 60s. Monday and Tuesday will resemble Sunday with bright, clear skies, crisp temperatures and plenty of sun.

Rain shouldn't fall until Thursday, which will feature a 30 percent chance for precipitation by the afternoon. Thursday will be warmer than Halloween, with highs in the mid 70s, before temperatures drop back into the mid 60s for Friday.
