HALIFAX, N.C. — The Halifax County School district plans to cut 67 positions from the payroll in order to balance the budget, a spokesman said Friday.
The 67 jobs represent 8.7 percent of the district's workforce, and cuts will come from all departments, according to a press release.
The school board will discuss the specifics in meetings on April 30 and May 5.
