Halifax County residents who work in health care and those over the age of 75 have another opportunity Thursday to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccinations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at Halifax Community College Building 700 beginning at 9 a.m.

The county expects to have vaccine available for the next group of people, Phase 1B, Group 2, as soon as next week. That group includes frontline essential workers like first responders, corrections officers, food and agricultural workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, teachers and child care workers.
