Weldon, N.C. — Halifax County authorities arrested a fugitive Wednesday who had been on the run for more than a year.
The sheriff's office received a tip that Terrill Maurice Harrison was at a home on Sycamore Street in south Weldon. Deputies went into the house and arrested him without incident, officials said.
Harrison was arrested for probation violation, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while his license was revoked, simple assault and trespassing, authorities said.
Harrison was placed in the Halifax County Jail under a $11,000 bond. His next court date is set for Dec. 7.
