Tennessee investigators say Andrew Halford confessed to recording young girls as they changed clothes at Smith County Elite Cheerleading and Gymnastics, and may be connected to a device found at another gym as well.
suspect Andrew Holford is in the Smith County Jail here tonight. We know from court papers that Holford admitted to the owners of Smith County elite cheerleading to setting up a recording device and recording young girls in the bathrooms. I spoke with a former student of Holford who did not want to be seen on camera but says the news broke her heart. I just hate it so bad when the girls I hate that shot me because he was so good, you know, showing us coaching us, telling a lot of this stuff we know now. Tonight, from his arrest papers, he used a backpack to bring the camera inside that restroom. The youngest victim was just nine years old. Right now, Holford is facing charges of unlawful photography of a minor and criminal attempt of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. We're also waiting for MAWR charges to come out of Franklin, where he's accused of recording as many as 60 victims at the premiere Athletics Now. We did not immediately get a comment back from Smith County elite cheerleading tonight when we requested for one. Horford will have his first court appearance on February 11th, and we'll bring you the very latest. When that happens, I'm Joshua Coal News for Nashville
