Gunshots lead to crash of vehicle near Zebulon

ZEBULON, N.C. — Wake County Sheriff's Office investigators said gunshots along a highway near Zebulon led to a crash on Saturday.
Investigators said two vehicles were driving side-by-side o NC Hwy. 96 when one suspect started shooting at the other vehicle, which then crashed. First responders found one person shot inside the overturned vehicle.
Investigators said the victim was involved in a carjacking Friday in Knightdale. The person, who was not identified, was sent to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
