Gun violence increases by nearly 40% in Durham this year
Gun violence is on the rise in Durham this year, according to the Durham Police. There have been almost 200 more shootings this year compared to last year.

THERE HAVE BEEN ALMOST 200 MORE SHOOTINGS AT THIS POINT IN THE YEAR COMPARED TO 2019. WHILE THREE FEWER PEOPLE HAVE DIED BY GUNFIRE THIS YEAR, 94 MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN STRUCK BY BULLETS.
