Guilford County escapee captured in Florida
The state Department of Correction said Billy Michael Sutton, 29, walked away from his work release assignment on March 13.
Posted — UpdatedGREENSBORO, N.C. — Officers in Panama City, Fla., captured a man Thursday who had been on the run from Guilford County jail.
The North Carolina Department of Correction said Billy Michael Sutton, 29, walked away from his work release assignment on March 13. He was serving eight years for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Sutton will be extradited back to North Carolina.
