Posted — UpdatedMultiple grocery stores, retail stores and restaurants in the area are closing early due to safety concerns. You may want to confirm your specific store is open if you are shopping after 5 pm for the next few days.
The ALDI store store near Southpoint in Durham had the following sign posted on their door indicating that until further notice, they will be closing at 5 pm. Many other grocery stores are closing early right now as a precaution.
When you call Target stores, you will first hear the following message:
"Due to the recent events happening in communities across the United States, store hours shared through our phone system may not be up to date. We appreciate your patience as we work to keep our guests and team members safe."
Many Walmart stores in the area are closing at 5 pm every day this week.
If you look at grocery store websites, most are not indicating the adjusted hours so you will need to call your specific store to see if their hours have changed this week. You can also check store social media pages and Google to see if adjusted store hours have been indicated on those platforms.
If you are having trouble getting to a grocery store before they close right now because of your work hours or another situation, some stores open at 7 am including most Walmart, Sprouts and Lowes Foods locations.
