Greenville Police Search for Strong-Arm Robbery Suspect

— Police are searching for the suspect in what they called a strong-arm robbery in a department store parking lot.

Police responded to the call around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the parking lot of Belk’s, at 714 SE Greenville Blvd. It was reported the victim was walking from Belk’s to her car when the suspect approached her and asked for directions, after which he grabbed her purse.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing light-colored pants and a dark shirt. The suspect was last seen in a green Toyota Corolla four-door with damage to the rear passenger side and missing a hub cap.
