Heads up: If you go through a lot of peanut butter in your house (like we do), you may want to stock up on a number of extra jars right now. Because of a drought and heat affecting the peanut crop this year, peanut butter is expected to rise up to 40% in price at the end of October and into November! If you can find peanut butter at $1.50 or less for an 18 oz. jar (8 cents per oz.), that's a good price.

Lowes Foods has the 18 oz jar on sale for $2.00 through Tuesday, 10/25. Use the .55/1 coupon (which will double) and the cost is only 90 cents for 18 oz. (5 cents per oz) - a very good buy!

Harris Teeter has the 28 oz. jar on sale for $3.59 through 10/25. Use the .55/1 coupon and the cost is $2.49 after doubled coupon. That's 8 cents per oz, a good buy. The 18 oz jar is $1.49 after coupon, making it 8 cents/oz as well.
