BUTNER, N.C. — A tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline led to the arrest Friday of a sixth grade teacher and wrestling coach from Butner-Stem Middle School in Granville County.

Bobby Scott Nealey, 50, of Wake Forest, faces nine counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor based on an allegation that he uploaded child sexual exploitative material.

A Granville County schools spokesman said Nealey was suspended without pay while the investigation plays out, and that there have been "no indications that this individual's conduct impacted our students."

Butner-Stem Middle School staff were notified on Saturday, and families with students at the schools were alerted to the arrest Monday morning.

Nealey was being held at the Granville County Detention Center under a $400,000 secured bond.
