A Graham woman assaulted another woman, held her hostage at gunpoint and then had a two-hour standoff with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office Monday afternoon, according to officials.

Deputies said that Justine Laurel Shook, 35, was in a domestic disagreement with a man who lived at the same house as the victim and Shook. Shook is accused of pointing a gun at the man in the house. He fled the home during the incident.

The standoff with officers occurred at 5225 Keen Drive. A negotiator was on the scene from the Sheriff's Office talking to Shook on the phone. While there, the victim held at gunpoint was able to escape.

The victim was injured and treated on scene by EMS, officials said.

Shook was charged with felony kidnapping, felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and two more misdemeanors.
