Graham Police Department investigating 'suspicious' car fire

Just after 7 p.m. on Sunday, Graham firefighters were called to Crescent Arms Apartments for a car on fire.

GRAHAM, N.C. — The Graham Police Department is investigating a car fire that also damaged an apartment building.

Just after 7 p.m. on Sunday, Graham firefighters were called to Crescent Arms Apartments for a car on fire.

While on the way to the scene, firefighters found out an apartment building was also on fire and people were trapped in an apartment.

When firefighters arrived, they found a car on fire with radiant heat damage to the front of the apartment building.

The Graham Police Department is investigating a car fire.

The people stuck inside the apartment were able to get out before firefighters arrived.

An apartment building at Crescent Arms Apartments was damaged after a car fire near the building on Sunday.

While investigating the cause of the fire, Graham and Alamance County fire investigators determined the fire was suspicious in nature.

The incident has been turned over to the Graham Police Department.
