Graco recalls 1.2 million high chairs

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall today of about 1.2 million Graco high chairs.

The recall extends to the Graco Harmony High Chairs, which were sold from November 2003 through December. They are no longer in production. The problem is that the screws holding the front legs of the chair can loosen and fall out. A plastic bracket on the rear legs also can crack causing the high chair to become unstable and tip over, causing a child to fall.

Graco has received 464 reports of problems. Some have resulted in injuries, including a hairline fracture to the arm.
