RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man used Facetime to help save a life.

The man says he was in the right place at the right time and was happy his wife answered his call so he could help a man in need after he was hit by a vehicle while trying to cross the road.

A 28-year-old man is recovering after running across the street and getting hit by an incoming car in the process. The crash happened on North New Hope Road near Charny Drive. Allan Nance witnessed the whole thing, stopped his truck and ran to help the man who was hit.

Realizing how dire the situation was, he grabbed his phone and FaceTimed his wife to help.

"I didn’t quite know what to do so I FaceTime to my wife, being a nurse, and she walked me through how to do it," Nance said.

Nance said he helped stop the bleeding and held the man's head still until paramedics could arrive.

As for driver of the car, he is not facing any charges as of now. The name of the victim hasn’t been released. We are told he is expected to survive.
