Goldsboro woman accused of passing counterfeit checks

Police arrested a 21-year-old Goldsboro woman Tuesday and charged her with passing two counterfeit checks, totaling $12,884.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police arrested a 21-year-old Goldsboro woman Tuesday and charged her with passing two counterfeit checks, totaling $12,884.

Shakeria Lashay Davis, of 212-B Alpha Court, is accused of going to Friendly Check Cashing #028, at 501 N. Berkeley Blvd., on Feb. 1 and passing the checks. 

Police charged Davis with two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and two counts of uttering a forged instrument. She was being held in the Wayne County jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
