Goldsboro teen charged in armed robbery

Goldsboro police charged a 17-year-old man Thursday in connection with an armed robbery that left a worker injured.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police charged a 17-year-old man Thursday in connection with an armed robbery that injured a worker.

Investigators accused Ar-raqib Ahad Hardy used a gun to rob Scott Berkeley while he worked at 804 S. Best St.

Hardy faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree kidnapping and assault inflicting serious injury. He was being held in the Wayne County Jail Friday under a $150,000 secured bond.
