Goldsboro tanning salon addresses peeping arrest
The management of Beach Bumz tanning salon in Goldsboro issued a statement Thursday in attempt to quash rumors about a peeping incident there.

Goldsboro police arrested Jeffrey Gurley, 45, Tuesday night at the Patetown Road tanning salon, alleging he videotaped women as they undressed. Gurley faces a misdemeanor charge of secret peeping.
In an e-mail to customers, Beach Bumz said Gurley, a customer, was videotaping another customer with his cell phone.
The e-mail criticized Gurley in harsh terms and said his alleged actions damaged the business's reputation.
"We ask that you respect the privacy of the victim and hope that you will continue to let us serve you, ensuring any types of questionable actions will not be tolerated," it concluded.
